sibylla charter

The Sibylla Corporation Charter defines a code of conduct and accountability applicable to all members.
It serves as a shared reference, ensuring respect, cohesion, and efficiency across the Corporation.

This document is not intended to establish an authoritarian system, but to clearly set out the principles and obligations necessary for harmonious, professional collaboration.
It clarifies what is considered acceptable—or not—within Sibylla’s internal operations, in order to preserve the integrity and image of the Corporation.

The Charter is a living document: it may be updated at any time, without prior notice, to reflect the needs and realities of our development. Every member is required to comply with it at all times.

Last revision: 12/09/2025

1 — Sibylla is an organization created in January 2013, dedicated exclusively to activity on Star Citizen. Any use or appropriation of the organization’s name is prohibited.

2 — Being a member of Sibylla forbids belonging to any other Star Citizen organization.

3 — The organization has a chain of command; respecting it and its members is essential to the collective. Everyone may express opinions on Sibylla’s functioning in a constructive way to help improve it.

4 — In-game and at the community level, a Sibyllan must refrain from any act, statement, or behavior likely to harm the organization. Everyone must act in its interest. Any action that causes prejudice to Sibylla in any way will be sanctioned.

5 — Our organization relies on respect and mutual support, which excludes hostile actions between members unless mutually agreed.

6 — Sibylla places special importance on real life (IRL), which naturally takes priority over in-game (IG). No obligation of regular attendance is imposed.

7 — Any user of Sibylla’s communication platforms—member or non-member—must comply with Articles 8, 9, 10, and 11.

8 — Several communication platforms are available within the organization. For better cohesion and communication, these channels must be used exclusively for anything related to Sibylla.

9 — Sibylla aims to be an organization that is enjoyable to be part of. It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure this. To maintain a positive atmosphere and the pleasure of playing together, rules specific to each communication platform are displayed on each platform.

10 — This Charter is not intended to list every possible event or circumstance. In case of doubt or dispute, its application shall not be limited to a strict literal reading; both the text and the spirit that guided its drafting must be taken into account.

11 — This Charter is considered read and accepted by every Sibylla member and by every user of the communication platforms provided.

Annex to Article 9 of the Charter: Rules for Communication Platforms

Use

  • A public community area is available on Discord.

  • Standard rules of conduct in society apply.

  • In voice channels, Push-to-Talk is required if your microphone quality is poor.

  • In text channels, messages must be written clearly and correctly.

  • Staff may limit speaking rights when necessary, for example to manage an event.

  • Your RSI handle must be used as your Discord nickname. It must be readable, allow mentions (@), and enable adding in-game contacts.

Restrictions

  • Any statement or content punishable under applicable law will be sanctioned.

  • No advertising, “wild” recruitment, or spam is tolerated.

  • Aggressive or vulgar behavior is prohibited.

  • No one may monopolize discussions with constant posting; everyone must be given the opportunity to speak.

  • Inappropriate or divisive topics such as politics and religion should be avoided. If a conversation drifts into them, it may continue only in private. Sharing polarizing content—such as political clips or hostile “call-out” influencer content—is prohibited.

It is important to distinguish between an anecdote and a drama. IRL problems stay IRL.
